PLANNED PUPPIES...

Our lovely Canadian Champion Cebar Sylvan Spell was bred to Canadian and American Champion Ramachandra Windstorm Cebar. We are very excited about this litter, oh yes, we do believe she is pregnant. Sherman was the Sire of our beautiful Cebar Wanna Be Evil (see picture) and her brother Cebar Addition Dracula (also pictured), both were fantastic movers and great dogs to live with. Sylvia, was from day one an extremely clean house dog, although she like to voice her opinion, she loves to excercise outside, is a very social girl and a great, great housedog. We will continue Sylvia's show career in 2010 along with her puppies. Serious inquiries are welcome.

NEWSFLASH!!!!!!!!!

What a great weekend Annie had at Hochelaga Kennel Club. She got a Best Puppy in Goup and a Group First under judge Tom Nesbitt and then another Best Puppy in Group and a Group Second under judge Carmen Haller. She is now Canadian Champion Gaia Fairlane Annie Green Springs. Way to go Annie!

Brace yourselves...

Annie and Finnegan doubled their pleasure on the weekend by winning Best Brace in Show at Chatham. What a surprise for some when they realised the two are so young! Sylvia has taught them well. To cap off the weekend Annie won Best Puppy in Group, and both Annie and Finnegan won a wide assortment of doggy treasure and toys. Currently they are in the backyard investing in an anti-piracy security system with which to protect their new-found wealth...

Sylvia and Finnegan on their way

Canadian Champion Cebar Sylvan Spell and Gaia Finnegan's Rainbow both picked up their first US points in Syracuse this past March. Finnegan ended the weekend by going Best of Breed over special which earned him a run in the hound group ring. Sylvia went Winners Bitch both days and Finnegan went Best of Opposite sex on Saturday and Best of Breed on Sunday.

Finnegan and Annie will be going to Chatham, Ontario on the Easter weekend where they will be shown in brace competition. Stay tuned!!!!

DRAKE

We are sad to say that our Drake past away on Wed March 18th. It was very sudden. We were quite shocked, Drake never gave any sign of illness. We will miss him a lot.

Greyhounds: And the BEST OF BREED is...

Well friends, looks like Annie and Finnegan are going to follow in Sylvia's foot steps. We took Annie to her first shows in Markham and this was Finnegan's second show. We have great news to report, Finnegan went winner's dog from the junior puppy class over the open dogs for 2 points and his little sister Annie came from behind to earn BEST of BREED over the specials for 2 points and went on to win BEST PUPPY in GROUP. Finnegan was quite content with the BEST of OPPOSITE SEX. Thank you to judge Dr. Richard Meen. We are so very proud of them. Thank you to all our fellow exhibitors that took the time to come over and congratulate us and comment on how wonderfully put together these two puppies are. We will soon be posting pictures of their win and some candid shots of them in motion. And so the 2009 show season starts!!!!!

Canadian Greyhounds at Arghandab

Arghandab Greyhounds believes greyhounds in Canada need more exposure and encourage all who are interested to get out there and show! For our part, we will be out and about from Quebec and Ontario, to the Maritimes and west as far as Calgary in the next year. We will also be wandering around the United States occasionally. We hope to see some of you out there on the road! This year our dilemma will be who to show where.

Can. Ch. Cebar Sylvan Spell, (Sylvia) made number three greyhound in 2008 with limited showing and at just two years of age, is looking better and better. This year we hope to begin her American championship, and will breed her to Cebar Addition Dracula when the time comes.

The dynamic duo, Finnegan, Gaia Finnegan's Rainbow and Annie, Gaia Fairlane Annie Greenspring, at 7 months are ready for the ring. Puppies are fun to show and you never know what they will pull on you. Although greyhounds seem aristocratic, they can pull a fun and fast one on you at anytime.

For information on our breeding plans or to update us on what is new in your greyhound world, feel free to contact us at arghandabgreyhounds@hotmail.com.

Here at Arghandab, Robert and Andre are vigorously against the use of greyhounds for racing and betting!
