We are sad to say that our Drake past away on Wed March 18th. It was very sudden. We were quite shocked, Drake never gave any sign of illness. We will miss him a lot.
Sylvia was implanted with Sherman's semen on the 28th of May 2009. Puppies, puppies, puppies...
SYLVIA
Candian Champion Cebar Sylvan Spell. Sylvia is pictured here winning one of her many group placements in 2008. Winning group 3rd under judge Ms. Mike MacBeth. Sylvia sure knows how to capture the attention of greyhound lovers and fellow exhibitors. First with her stunning looks and movement, second by revealing her playful attitude at ring side with other dogs.
Brace yourselves...
Gaia Finnegan's Rainbow and Gaia Fairlane Annie Green Spring winning Best Brace in Show at Kent Kennel Club on Easter weekend, 2009
Gaia Finnegan's Rainbow
Finn going Best of Breed at the age of 9 months in Syracuse, New York. Thanks to Kathryn Hutton for a great job with him in the BoB competition.
Cebar Addition Dracula
Drake is a happy go lucky fellow who enjoys everything. He is a very handsome, structurally sound male who covers an amazing amount of ground when moving. He is an absolute gentleman.
Annie
Annie pictured winning Best Puppy in Group, Best of Breed and Best of winners under judge Dr. Richard Meen. This was Annie's very first show experience.
Annie
Yes!!!! She moves just like that! Incredible...
Finnegan
Finn is pictured winning Best of Opposite sex to his Sister Annie under judge Dr. Richard Meen. That was a great day for the brother sister team.
Finnegan
Watch him go and he's just 7 months...
Cebar Wanna be Evil
Eartha, shown being awarded Winner's Bitch and Award of Merit at the Greyhound Club of America Specialty under Ian Bond, was a very strong yet elegant female that caught everyone's attention because of her enthusiasm in the ring. Eartha and her brother, Cebar Addition Dracula were completely inseparable and followed each other everywhere.
Gaia Finnegan's Rainbow
This is young Finnegan (3 months) and his sister in the summer of 2008.
Gaia Fairlane Annie Greensprings
Finnegan's favourite sister comes to stay! With Sylvia's talent for teaching, little Annie's transition from Gaia to our home was easy. Sylvia, Finnegan and Annie make a great trio!
Canadian Champion Myosho Dancer Of The Sea
A blast from the past! Zoom was our first greyhound. A dog of majestic stature with great presence in the show ring. Moved like an athelete... well his name was ZOOM after all!
Canadian Champion Surrey Hill Damask Rose
Yes, she was the Queen of the Kennel in her days. This lovely red female was the foundation of our breeding program. Rosie produced many Champions for us. She covered a lot of ground standing or moving.
Cdn. Am. Ch. Arghandab's Deep Blue
Blue was Robert's pick of Rosie's first litter. A very elegant female with impeccable movement.
Cdn.Ch. Arghandab's Currant Event
Currant because her name was Cassise! She was Andre's pick of the same litter as Cdn. Am. Ch. Arghandab's Deep Blue. Cassise was an absolute pleasure to live with, and like her sister, was a multiple group winner with an open movement we all dream of.
Arghandab's Tilly-vision
Tilly as a young puppy, even then she hated to stand still for too long!
Bravo!
What an event that was for our greyhounds and for us as well. Can. Ch. Myosho Dancer of the Sea and Can. Ch. Surrey Hill Damask Rose captured on film by well known photographer Michael Slobodian, performing in the 1992 staging of the ballet "GISELE" along side some of Canada's premier dancers from Les Grands Ballets Canadiens de Montreal. This is truly a great testimony to the temperment of greyhounds. To be so relaxed and enjoying the music of a live orchestra, action all around and in front of thousands of spectators. Bravo indeed!!
Welcome to our blog.
We have been breeding and showing dogs for over 36 years. Our dogs are raised in the house but do spend time in the kennel, where they have food, water and exercise at all times. They are all equals. We have bred and owned many top greyhounds in Canada, consequently, they make great travellers. We object vigorously to the use of greyhounds for racing and betting. We are very pleased with the accomplishments of our greyhounds.
So there it is, feel free to contact us or leave your comments. This great shot of our Finnegan and Annie was taken by Sue Lemieux of Gaia greyhounds.
Robert and Andre.
